Working and earning cash from home can look like a dream, but it can also be a reality. You can be skeptical of the real ways of earning money by working at home, but they do exist. Here are some of them :
Contract and freelance work are often used interchangeably, but there are a few subtle differences. Many of the home-based “jobs” you’ll find on career sites hire workers as contractors instead of employees. These contract jobs can be full or part-time, and as regular as a traditional job, including a steady income. The difference is that contractors are considered independent from the company for tax purposes and therefore, need to manage their own self-employment taxes.
Survey Taker: There are plenty of opportunities for scams in this industry, so you have to be careful. Avoid giving companies your sensitive information or paying upfront fees, as they’re likely to be fraudulent. There are, however, opportunities to make money at home by taking job surveys from legitimate companies. Elementary school substitute teacher Andrea Spain and her mother Bonnie Alcala take online surveys for two hours a week, ringing in around $100 a month in cash, gift cards, and other prizes.
Stay out of the kitchen. “This is sort of the dirty little secret of telecommuters, but it’s like the freshman 15 all over again. I shudder at the thought of how many times I opened the fridge that first year. It was just constant snacking,” says Joy Martini, president of the New York City-based marketing and communications firm Martini Consulting. “So you need a kind of discipline and that’s really the clincher for the whole thing: having the discipline to get done what you need to get done; the discipline to avoid the kitchen; the discipline to kick your drop-in friends out.” Read extra info on Earn A Regular Income From Home.
